Cy Baird Main Gallery: February 6 - 27

This exhibition invites visitors to experience the warmth and creativity of the vibrant ceramic arts community of the Gunnison Valley. This delightful collection features an array of handcrafted vessels—from teapots and cups to pitchers and chalices—each capturing the spirit of sharing and connection. Through a colorful and expressive display, the show celebrates both the artistry and community that flourish around the simple act of gathering for tea.

Call For Artists: All art that celebrates "Tea Parties" both 2D and 3D may submit their work. $5/artist fee to submit work. 

Application Deadline: Sunday, January, 25th. 

Install date: Wednesday, February 4th. 

Nancy Tredway Gallery: February 6 - 27

Magnistraction is a word made up by the artist to describe the act of abstraction through magnification. This series is a focus on the up-close. When looking at the very smallest of details in a greater whole, the context those details depend upon disappears, leaving a murky inapplicable shape. Allison is a Colorado based collage artist, graphic designer, illustrator & printmaker. Magnification features abstract screenprints and serigraphy.

​​This collective is an international consortium of artists who share a love and fascination of nature and the geosciences. Each artist brings a unique set of skills from the worlds of textile and mixed media.  Many of us create unique fabrics, threads and papers through the use of dye, paint and print. This exhibit showcases three themes, Cracks, Layers and Water.

The annual “Great Lego Show” returns to the Gunnison Arts Center for its sixth year, celebrating creativity, imagination, and community spirit. This vibrant exhibit showcases the intricate and imaginative visions of builders both young and old, all brought to life through the timeless medium of LEGO. From playful designs to complex architectural creations, the show highlights how art and innovation can connect generations. Encouraging unity through collaboration and creativity, the Great Lego Show invites visitors to see the world—brick by brick—through the eyes of both children and adults. 

Stop into the GAC to pick up a lego plate to start your creation today. Everyone may submit a creation to this exhibit - drop off dates: March 3 & 4 between 12 - 6 pm.
