Main Gallery: The Gunnison Arts Center is excited to welcome back the Colorado Watercolor Society for the 3rd Annual Juried Exhibition “A Splash of Colorado”. This hi-class exhibit features landscape, still life, abstract and portrait paintings by Colorado water based artists who are both members and non-members to the CWS. CALL FOR ARTISTS: Showcase your art created during quarantine, your dramatic images taken during the Black Lives Matter protest and the list continues. Drop-off your submissions to the GAC on Friday, July 31 or Saturday, August 1 during open hours. Submissions are $5/piece. Open to all levels of artists and all art forms. Exhibit held in the Upper Gallery and opens on Friday, August 7 through September 5.
Main Gallery: A Museum on Main Street & Traveling Smithsonian Exhibition. "Crossroads: Change in Rural America" offers small towns a chance to look at their own paths to highlight the changes that affected their fortunes over the past century. The exhibition will prompt discussions about what happened when America’s rural population became a minority of the country’s population and the ripple effects that occurred.
