About Cat Avila

Caitlyn Avila, better known as Cat, graduated in 2023 with a B.A. in Ceramics from Western Colorado University. Originally from Pueblo, Colorado, her love for the mountains and close-knit communities brought her to Gunnison in 2018. Cat began her journey at the Gunnison Arts Center in 2020 teaching in the Clay Studio while building her very own ceramics business, MuddyMorphosis, which she recently launched. In her new position as GAC’s Education & Event Associate, Cat is thrilled to bring her expertise in ceramics, love of teaching, and dedication to fostering community relationships to the Gunnison Arts Center.
