Meet our Board!

The Gunnison Arts Center’s Board of Directors is deeply invested, hardworking, and dedicated to our mission to cultivate and promote the arts in our community. The GAC Board of Directors strives to maintain a diverse mix of locals of a variety of ages, professions, and backgrounds. Board Members serve a three-year term and may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. The mission and strategic plan, used at every meeting to guide decisions, define the board’s work. As a working board, board members assist staff in fundraising, events, donor cultivation, and executive oversight. Trainings are paramount to the GAC Board of Directors to maintain best practices. In 2022, members of the GAC Board of Directors donated over 750 hours of time working for the Gunnison Arts Center including governance, fundraising, and service projects. All Gunnison Arts Center Board Members make a personally significant financial contribution to support the organization annually.

Chris Miller

Chris is retired from public education as a teacher and a principal. Chris and her husband moved to Gunnison to be with family. Trying to capture some creative spirit, I went to several classes at GAC, where I not only did that, but made new friends and discovered the wonderful Gunnison community.
